Seven Capital Advisory · Independent counsel to owners and families in business

Your accountant closes the year. Who plans the next one?

Seven Capital advises the owners of Australian private businesses, and the families behind them — growth, succession, governance and the next generation. Independent. Brisbane.

It starts with a thirty-minute meeting: no deck, no cost, and a straight answer on whether we can help.

For owners of Australian businesses doing $1M–$50M.

Two kinds of client. One way of working.

Owners, $1M–$50M

Cash flow, margin, costs, getting paid, the bank — and what the business is worth when you’re done. Senior-led, and never alone — your accountant, lawyer and tax adviser coordinated around one plan. Starting with the Business Health Check: $4,950, fixed fee, three weeks. Credited in Full. Engage within 60 days and the fee comes off your first retainer quarter.

Business families, $5M+ behind an operating company

Governance, succession and the rising generation: a family charter that holds, a family council that actually meets, a succession plan with dates in it, and a next generation ready to build on what's been built.

“Jack has been invaluable to my family office. He’s mentored and developed the next generation to confidently take over.”

You’ve got an accountant, a lawyer and a banker. Who’s running the plan?

Your accountant keeps you compliant. Your lawyer keeps you covered. Your banker wants the loan repaid on schedule. And the plan across all of it — cash, margin, what the business is worth, who takes over, how you leave — still belongs to nobody but you, and you’re already flat out running the place. That’s the seat we take: one plan across growth, structure, succession and exit, designed with you and run beside you.

What we do

Fractional CFO — a senior operator on the cash, the margin and the forecast — a few hours a week, not a salary on the books. (Also called a virtual CFO.)

Advisory Board Chair & Virtual CEO — senior leadership for the operating business, part-time: the plan, the cadence, the people — run the way a chief executive runs it, with decisions staying with the owner and the board.

Exit Ready — most owners sell once. Getting the business, and the numbers, ready for that one time.

Family Governance — the family charter written and signed, a family council that actually meets — chaired and run like a good board. Your accountants, lawyers and licensed investment managers coordinated, not replaced.

Rising Generation Mentoring — one-to-one mentoring for heirs in their 20s and 30s — treated as future owners, not problems to manage.

Every engagement starts small and fixed: Business Health Check — $4,950 for owners · Family Continuity Review — from $4,950 for families.

Seven Capital architects the strategy. Your registered tax adviser, accountant and lawyer implement their parts — we coordinate them, we don’t replace them.

Straight answers

Are you accountants or financial advisers?

No — and that’s deliberate. We’re strategists and operators. We design the plan, then coordinate your registered tax adviser, accountant and lawyer to implement it. Your accountant stays your accountant; your lawyer stays your lawyer.

What does it cost?

The first conversation costs nothing. For owners, the Business Health Check usually comes first: $4,950, fixed fee, three weeks, credited in full against your first retainer quarter if you engage within 60 days. For families, the Family Continuity Review starts from $4,950, fixed scope. Retained work beyond that is fixed-fee and scoped in writing — you’ll know the full number before you agree to anything — and runs month to month, with no lock-in.

Who do you work with?

Owners of Australian businesses doing roughly $1M to $50M in revenue. It works best when the owner wants a result, not a report.

Accountant or lawyer referring a client? The client stays yours — say so in the enquiry. We don’t do compliance, lodgements or legal work: we build the plan and send the implementation back to you.

What happens after I enquire?

We read every enquiry and reply within one business day. If it’s worth a conversation, we set a time: thirty minutes, one meeting, no deck. You’ll leave with a view either way, and if we can’t help, we’ll tell you who can.

Where are you based?

Brisbane. We work with owners across Australia, and client work has run across Australia, Singapore and the US.
